Under the supervision of the General Manager - Process Excellence, the Senior Business Analyst gathers and analyzes information for developing and modifying data processing projects. Managing assigned resources, the Analyst assists in the design of technological projects. Working closely with personnel in user areas to gather relevant information and to define project objectives, documents fact-finding and study results and makes formal presentations of findings, recommendations, and specifications in written and in oral formats. Upholds the values of the GPA to promote Safety, Integrity, Respect, Community, Creativity and Opportunity. Promotes a safe work environment by participating in safety initiatives and reporting unsafe conditions and behaviors.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Must possess demonstrable skills in basic port business processes, vessel scheduling, and general port operations. Must possess demonstrable knowledge of Navis Terminal Management Systems, SAP, and Microsoft Office applications. The ability to deal effectively and professionally with the GPA staff on all levels as well as customers and the general public required. Experience 3 to 5 years experience in computer systems and systems planning Preferred 5 to 10 years experience in marine port terminal operations Preferred 1-3 years of analytical experience Required Education Preferred Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Science or related field Licenses & Certifications TWIC - Transportation Worker Identification Credential Required Upon Hire Driver's License - Valid state driver's license Required Upon Hire Note: This job description is not necessarily an exhaustive list of all duties, responsibilities, job requirements, or working conditions associated with the job.
