Task Project Manager III
Southern Company Services is seeking an experienced Task Project Manager III to oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of engineering and energy-related projects. The successful candidate will ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within scope, and in compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
Key responsibilities include managing assigned projects and project tasks from planning through completion, tracking project schedules, milestones, budgets, and deliverables, coordinating resources, contractors, and cross-functional project teams, monitoring project progress and proactively resolving risks and issues, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements, communicating project status and key updates to stakeholders and leadership, supporting project documentation, reporting, and continuous process improvement, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
Required qualifications include a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field preferred, 10+ years of project or task management experience, preferably in the energy or utility industry, strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, and experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred qualifications include Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, experience managing engineering, construction, or utility projects, and knowledge of project scheduling, budgeting, and regulatory compliance.
