Job Description:
Provide general oversight and responsibility for equipment and personnel within assigned building.
The Maintenance CHIEF plays a critical role in ensuring the continuous and efficient operation of manufacturing equipment and mechanical systems within the facility. This position is responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on pumps, boilers, conveyor systems, and other mechanical components to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules. Works closely with the operations team to identify potential issues before they escalate, ensuring safety and compliance with industry standards. This role requires a proactive approach to equipment upkeep, including the ability to work overtime when necessary to address urgent repairs or maintenance tasks. Ultimately, the Maintenance Mechanic contributes to the overall productivity and safety of the manufacturing environment by maintaining reliable mechanical systems and equipment.
Skills/Experience:
Be on time
Have excellent attendance
Meet or exceed plant up-time goal of 98%.
Maintain building call response time of 2 minutes or less.
Actively patrol assigned building to proactively address equipment issues.
Report all major issues to Chief Engineer and Production Manager. Assist with resolution.
Establish and maintain positive working relationship between building maintenance crew and production team.
Completion at 100%.
Other duties as needed or assigned.

Be able to work well with a diverse workforce
Follow all company policies and procedures
Possess and maintain a positive attitude
Be able to work past the schedule, as issues may arise
This position may at times be physically demanding. Lifting and moving of objects heavier than 50lbs can be expected regularly.
The plant environment may be quite warm during certain times of the year. Ability to walk and stand for entire shift is necessary.
