Responsibilities Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and summaries for management use Assist with consolidation of accounting data to ensure accuracy and completeness Support the development and improvement of accounting systems and procedures, including participation in process enhancements and internal controls Assist with the preparation and coordination of documentation for regular and special audits Provide financial data and analysis to support management discussions and budgeting activities Review daily reports and summaries, perform reconciliations, and investigate and resolve discrepancies Maintain organized filing and documentation systems in accordance with department procedures Perform analysis of financial data and identify unusual trends or variances, escalating issues as appropriate Assist in implementing procedural or system changes and help communicate updates to relevant personnel Process and maintain petty cash transactions, ensuring proper documentation and reconciliation Qualifications Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting (GAAP preferred) Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field (or equivalent experience) 3–6+ years of relevant accounting experience; CPA or progress toward certification is a plus Experience with financial systems and reporting tools High level of attention to detail and accuracy in data review and analysis The Lee Company Advantages The Lee Company offers opportunities for career growth in a well-managed company providing an attractive range of benefits including company-paid health insurance, profit sharing, tuition reimbursement, and daycare subsidies.
