About the Job The Senior Engineer in Water Resources is a senior‑level engineering professional and team leader responsible for leading design teams, managing projects, and maintaining client relationships. This position combines technical expertise with strategic leadership of 3‑5 direct reports. What You’ll Do Oversee multiple concurrent water‑resource projects and ensure delivery on schedule and within budget. Conduct expert‑level technical review of engineering designs, calculations, drawings, specifications, and contract documents. Mentor and guide engineers and project managers, supporting both technical development and professional growth. Manage client relationships and assist with marketing, business development, and public engagements as required. Coordinate with contractors, regulatory agencies, and community stakeholders to advance project objectives. Approve project scopes, fees, and proposals; manage invoicing and overall financial performance. Support staffing, recruitment, performance reviews, and team development initiatives. Qualifications Required: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline. 8+ years of combined engineering experience with direct experience designing and implementing municipal and/or industrial water, wastewater, or reclaimed water systems. 8+ years of project leadership experience. PE license. Demonstrated expertise in project management, client coordination, and technical design. Strong leadership, communication, and decision‑making abilities. Preferred: Experience in management or team leadership ( 4+ years ). Project experience compatible with the regulatory environment of the U.S. Southeast, with an understanding of regional variations. Experience representing complex engineering projects to public bodies or community groups.
