Job Title: Intensive Care / Coronary Nurse (ICU) Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: All shifts Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum of 3 years in ICU License: Current valid unrestricted Professional Nursing License (RN) Certifications: - Basic Life Support (BLS) - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR) - National Institutes of Health (NIH) NIHSS Must-Have: - Associate Degree in Nursing - ICU experience Description: This position involves providing nursing care to critically ill patients. The Registered Nurse performs a variety of responsible nursing care procedures requiring professional knowledge. Consideration of specific patient conditions and treatments is necessary. The ability to work independently in completing assignments is essential. Guidelines include doctors' orders, standards of care, nursing policies, and procedures. Nursing duties include the provision of inpatient care and support in the Intensive Care Unit. Care is provided to individuals of all ages and their families. There may be a requirement to float to other units in case of low census. After-hours recovery of post-operative patients may be necessary.
