Radiologic Technologist (Travel) We are seeking an experienced and independent Radiologic Technologist for a travel assignment in Hilo, Hawaii. This role involves performing a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures using advanced radiographic equipment within a dynamic healthcare setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating various imaging modalities, ensuring patient safety, and producing high-quality diagnostic images. This position requires a professional who can function autonomously while adhering to strict safety protocols and maintaining excellent patient care standards. Key Responsibilities Operate and maintain a range of radiographic equipment, including DR fixed equipment, DR fluoro equipment, C-arms, and portable DR equipment. Perform diagnostic imaging procedures with precision, ensuring optimal image quality and patient comfort. Adhere strictly to radiation safety guidelines and protocols, including the proper use of dosimetry badges. Ensure patient safety and provide clear instructions throughout the imaging process. Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records and imaging documentation. Collaborate with healthcare team members to facilitate efficient patient care. Required Qualifications Minimum of two (2) years of independent experience as a Radiologic Technologist. Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in the operation of various radiographic equipment. Strong understanding and application of radiation safety principles and protocols. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Philips DR, Philips C-arms, OEC C-arms, Philips Fluoro, and Konica DR equipment. Prior experience with Epic EMR system. Skills & Competencies Expertise in operating DR fixed equipment, DR fluoro equipment, C-arms, and portable DR equipment. Comprehensive knowledge of radiation safety practices and patient shielding techniques. Ability to work independently and exercise sound clinical judgment in a fast-paced environment. Exceptional patient care skills, including effective communication and empathy. Meticulous attention to detail for accurate image acquisition and documentation. Shift Details Shift Type: AM shifts. Shift Duration: 8 hours per shift. Days per Week: 5 days per week. Call Requirements: Average of 3 days of call per month. Weekend Rotation: Not specified. Contract Length: 13 weeks. Licensing Requirements Current State of Hawaii Radiologic Technologist license as a Radiographer (required by start of assignment). Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
