Job description
Job Title MRI Technologist Job Summary Join a dedicated radiology team as a traveling MRI Technologist at Northside Cherokee Hospital in Canton, Georgia. This role involves performing high-quality diagnostic magnetic resonance imaging procedures within the Che-MRI Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating advanced MRI equipment, ensuring patient safety, and contributing to precise diagnostic imaging for a diverse patient population. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced MRI Technologist seeking a 13-week travel assignment, working night shifts on weekends. You will play a crucial role in patient care by providing essential imaging services in a fast-paced hospital environment. Key Responsibilities Operate MRI equipment, including the 720C MRI system, to produce high-quality diagnostic images. Perform a variety of MRI procedures in accordance with established protocols and physician orders. Ensure patient comfort, safety, and privacy throughout the imaging process. Prepare and administer contrast media as required, following safety guidelines. Monitor patients during scans and respond to any adverse reactions or emergencies. Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation. Collaborate effectively with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals. Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards. Required Qualifications Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) with a Magnetic Resonance (MR) credential. Current state licensure as a Radiologic Technologist in Georgia (or eligibility for licensure). Minimum of 1-2 years of recent experience as an MRI Technologist in an acute care setting. Proficiency in operating MRI equipment, including experience with 720C MRI or similar advanced systems. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA). Preferred Qualifications Not specified. Skills & Competencies Expertise in MRI imaging techniques and patient positioning. Proficient in the operation and troubleshooting of MRI scanners, specifically 720C MRI. Strong understanding of MRI safety protocols and contraindications. Ability to administer contrast media safely and effectively. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient interaction and team collaboration. High level of attention to detail and accuracy in image acquisition and documentation. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a dynamic environment. Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Shift Details Shift Type: Nights (NOC) Hours: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM Days: Friday, Saturday, Sunday (3 days per week) Call Requirements: Not specified. Weekend Rotations: Included in the regular schedule. Contract Length: 13 weeks Assignment Dates: July 27, 2026 - October 24, 2026 Licensing Requirements American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) - MR credential. Georgia State Radiologic Technologist License. Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association (AHA).
