Job description

Sia Partners is a unique management consulting firm composed of 850+ passionate consultants who drive business changes among our customers. Through unparalleled industry expertise, we deliver superior value and tangible results to our clients in over 21 sectors and service teams. Financial institutions have drastically changed over the last decade and further evolutions are yet to come. Regulatory constraints have driven most of these transformations, but the disruptive revolution is much more complex and cannot be limited to the latter. Business models must be adapted within each business line and operating models must take into account industrial partnership, outsourcing or strategic alliances. Sia Partners assists its clients in coping with these transformations in order to improve their competitive advantages, flexibility productivity and profitability: strategic deployment, financial performance, business process optimization, digitalisation, risk and regulatory adherence. Thanks to Sia Partners’ international footprint, the Financial Services practice is strategically located in all major financial and energy hubs (New York, Charlotte, UK, Europe, and Asia Pacific) and our integrated model allows teams from different countries to easily partner, when appropriate. As a Senior Manager supporting our Corporate & Investment Banking practice, you will lead client engagements focused on front‑to‑back operating model design, process optimisation, and technology enablement across institutional broker dealers, investment & digital‑native banks, and market infrastructure providers. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in capital markets operations (e.g., trade lifecycle, post‑trade processing, middle office, or data management) combined with strong consulting, stakeholder management, and delivery leadership capabilities. Responsibilities Demonstrate Post‑Trade Operations Expertise: Bring strong working knowledge of post‑trade operations within capital markets including trade capture and booking, allocations, confirmations and affirmations, custodian, clearing and settlements, asset servicing, securities financing and collateral management, reconciliations and break management and market infrastructure environments. Apply Knowledge of Financial Markets & Products: Understand how evolution to post‑trade operations impacts traditional financial products and market activities, including equities, fixed income, funds, collateral, securities financing, payments, clearing, settlement, custody, and corporate actions. Translate Technical Concepts into Business Solutions: Explain complex post‑trade operations concepts in a clear, practical way for senior business, operations, technology, risk, and regulatory stakeholders. Always on Markets: Identify how changes to post‑trade operations, including T+0 and continuous settlements and extended trading impacts front‑to‑back processes, including trade lifecycle, booking models, settlement processes, data flows, controls, reconciliation, client reporting, and integration with legacy platforms. Navigate Regulatory, Risk & Control Considerations: Understand the regulatory and control environment surrounding post‑trade settlements, including custody, record‑keeping, compliance, operational risk, third‑party risk, data privacy, resiliency, and governance expectations. Shape Client Solutions & Delivery Approaches: Support clients in defining post‑trade operation strategies, use cases, business cases, implementation roadmaps, vendor or platform considerations, pilot design, testing approaches, and adoption plans. Drive Business Development: Identify, develop, and expand client opportunities through account knowledge, cross‑selling, proposal development, commercial discussions, and relationship building across new and existing clients while contributing to originated and managed revenue targets. Coach & Develop Teams: Supervise, mentor, and evaluate consultants and managers, set clear goals, provide feedback, address team challenges, and contribute to recruiting and capability‑building efforts. Contribute to Firm Leadership: Share knowledge and best practices, support internal initiatives, represent Sia externally, and serve as a role model for consultants through professionalism, ownership, and leadership by example. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business or Engineering or a related field; master’s degree preferred. Relevant Experience: 10+ years of relevant work experience in management consulting or industry in Corporate and Investment Banking/Capital Markets or relevant roles in Financial Services, including Investment Banking, Sales and Trading, Fixed Income, Equities, Middle Office or Asset Servicing. Direct, working knowledge of post‑trade operations, market infrastructure, and relevant vendor solutions across trade capture, confirmations, clearing, settlement, custody, asset servicing, reconciliations, exceptions, collateral, securities financing, and operational controls. Experience with industry platforms (e.g., Broadridge, FIS (Front Arena / Phase3), Fidessa, Murex (front‑to‑back), Calypso (front‑to‑back), ION Markets). Sales & Business Development: Proven ability to originate new business opportunities and create new revenue streams by identifying client needs, developing relationships, shaping consulting solutions, and converting opportunities into sold work. Consulting Skillset: Strong communication skills, analytical thinking, attention to detail, ownership, teamwork, intellectual curiosity, and a willingness to learn in a fast‑paced, client‑facing environment. Location and Travel: Based in or near New York with the ability to commute to client sites within the metro area as required and occasional travel across US and Canada. Work Authorization: Eligible to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship requirements. All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines. Sia is an equal opportunity employer. All aspects of employment, including hiring, promotion, remuneration, or discipline, are based solely on performance, competence, conduct, or business needs. #J-18808-Ljbffr
