Description The Per Diem X‑Ray Technician performs basic and advanced procedures in accordance with established protocols. Evaluates images for technical quality. Must exercise independent judgement, ingenuity and initiative in the technical performance of imaging procedures and recognize patient conditions requiring immediate action. Responsibilities Perform radiologic examinations on patients referred by physicians in accordance with radiologic protocols. Be competent in routine diagnostic, operating room, and portable radiographs. Evaluate radiographs for technical acceptability. Comfortable working in an Emergency Department setting. Other duties as assigned; completing Patient Satisfaction is our primary goal. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology. NY State License and registration certificate in Radiologic Technology. ARRT certification in diagnostic radiology, good standing in ASRT. BLS certification. 1 year minimum experience, including OR procedures and portables. Proficiency in fluoroscopic, portable radiology, and OR procedures. Knowledge of McKesson PACS and image cast Radiology Information Systems. Experience in digital & computed radiography. Compensation The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides a salary range of $50 - $50 per hour. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses, incentive pay, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
