<b>JOB DESCRIPTION</b><br><br> Nestled on the Central California Coast, Adventist Health Sierra Vista has been providing care to our community since 1959. Our 162-bed acute care facility includes a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and county designated trauma center. San Luis Obispo offers the excitement of a lively community while being a fifteen-minute drive from the serenity of Avila Beach, known for their natural hot springs, and Pismo Beach, known for their sand dunes and eucalyptus trees. Featuring a charming downtown, comfortable coastal weather, idyllic views, and an active lifestyle San Luis Obispo offers much to be had.<br> <br>Job Summary:<br> <br>Responsible for the operation of x-ray, computed tomography, ultrasound, MRI, nuclear medicine and/or mammography equipment. Assists in accomplishing departmental objectives and goals. Helps create an environment that enables the medical imaging department to meet operational goals. Performs at least three of the modalities listed on a regular basis. This position is represented by SEIU.<br> <br>Job Requirements:<br><br>Education and Work Experience:<br> <ul> <li>Associate's Degree in radiologic technology: Required</li> <li>Bachelor's Degree or equivalent (some certifications will require Bachelor's): Preferred</li> <li>Master's Degree: Preferred</li> <li>Three years' technical experience: Preferred</li> </ul><br>Licenses/Certifications:<br> <ul> <li>Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required</li> <li>Radiologic Tech (RT) in the state of practice: Required</li> <li>American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification: Required</li> <li>Must have a current certification in one of the modalities and able to perform duties in at least one other advanced modality: Computed Tomography (CT), Mammography(M), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Nuclear Medicine (NM), Sonography(S) or Positron Emission Tomography (PET): Required</li> <li>ARRT-Radiography (ARRT-R): Required</li> <li>ARRT-Computed Tomography (ARRT-CT) or ARRT-Mammography (ARRT-M) or ARRT-Magnetic Resonance Imaging (ARRT-MRI) or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) or ARRT-Nuclear Medicine Technology (ARRT-NMT) or State Nuclear Med Tech (SNMT) or ARRT-Sonography (ARRT-S) or American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or CCI Registered Cardiac Sonographer (CCI-RCS) or RTPET: Required</li> </ul><br>Facility Specific License/Certifications:<br> <ul> <li>Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required</li> </ul><br>Essential Functions:<br> <ul> <li>Performs various radiographic, mammographic, computed tomography and/or ultrasound examinations consistent with employee's experience. Performs three modalities competently.</li> <li>Safely transports and transfers patients between gurneys and wheelchairs. Tests defibrillator and checks the integrity of crash cart. Performs mobile imaging examinations as necessary.</li> <li>Safely prepares contrast agents for Medical Imaging procedures.</li> <li>Performs other job-related duties as assigned.</li> </ul><br>Organizational Requirements:<br> <br>Adventist Health is committed to the safety and wellbeing of our associates and patients.
