Position: Nurse Manager
Dept: Jamestown Emergency Dept
Shift: Full Time 8am - 4:30pm (varied as needed)
Facility: Miami Valley Hospital
The increasing impact of market forces on health care management requires Nurse Managers to be correspondingly alert to match their activities to these market forces. The leading health care organizations of the future will be able to demonstrate superior medical outcomes, operate in a more seamless system, and have a competitive cost structure advantage. The Nurse Manager has responsibilities for a functional area of patient services and must collaborate with others to achieve strategic objectives and maintain the overall health of a specific community segment consistent with our position as the Region's Leader in health care delivery. The Nurse Manager is specifically responsible to take actions for:
Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required; Master's preferred
Licensure/Certification: A valid Ohio RN License is Required. BLS Required upon hire. ACLS and PALS required within 6 months of hire. TNCC required within a year of hire. CEN preferred.
Experience: A minimum of three years of progressive leadership experience is required. A minimum of 3 years of current clinical experience in an Emergency Department or equivalent environment is required.
