Surgical Assisting: Provide primary chairside assistance during complex dental, periodontal, and oral surgical procedures.
Patient Hospitality: Seat patients, review their medical histories, and speak with them to ease concerns or fears regarding their procedures.
Operatory Management: Prepare and set up treatment rooms (operatories) based on the daily surgical schedule.
Clinical Flow: Monitor patient flow to ensure a seamless transition between consultations and procedures.
Infection Control: Perform instrument sterilization and maintain a safe, aseptic clinical environment.
Administrative Support: Assist with clinical charting and documentation as needed to support the surgical team.
Mindset: A positive attitude and a pleasant, welcoming disposition are essential.
Learning Orientation: A strong willingness to learn specialized surgical assisting techniques (on-the-job training provided).
Professionalism: A fundamental commitment to punctuality and being "ready to work" at the start of the shift.
Physical/Mental Aptitude: Ability to comfortably tolerate and assist during surgical and invasive procedures.
Interpersonal Skills: Ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with patients of all backgrounds.
Preferred
Basic life support
Cardiopulmonary resuscitation
Experience: Prior experience as a dental assistant is a plus, though we are happy to train the right candidate.
Surgical Familiarity: Previous exposure to oral surgery or periodontal clinical settings.
Certification: Current CPR/BLS certification is preferred.

Monday through Thursday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Friday: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Saturday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
