SnowSports Headquarters Lead
Join the SnowSports School team as a SnowSports Headquarters Lead. In this position, you will work closely with instructors, SnowSports School supervisors, and guests to ensure that lessons run smoothly throughout the day. This includes assisting with group lesson line-ups, booking and fulfilling private lessons, monitoring the Mountain Watch phone to assist instructors with class switches and locating lost students, completing instructor payroll daily, selling lessons and tickets at the ticket desk at Greenhorn Ranch, and running inventory and lift access reports. In addition, HQ Leads may complete other project-based work to help boost lesson sales, support special products, and improve guest satisfaction.

Essential Duties
- Sell lessons and resolve lift ticket issues for SnowSports guests in the tent at Greenhorn Ranch.
- Monitor the Mountain Watch phone and the flaik tracking tool to assist instructors and SnowSports School supervisors with any group lesson issues, such as class switches or helping pros locate lost students
- Track and maintain the flaik hardware fleet to ensure that all hardware is accounted for each day
- Assign private lessons and assist at outdoor private lesson line-ups
- Work with VIP guests to book lessons, schedule requested instructors, and make changes, as needed
- Provide a high level of customer service, both to the SnowSports School instructors and to private lesson guests to ensure that lessons are booked correctly, and payment is collected in a timely manner
- Monitor the HQ phone, voicemails, texts, and email to assist guests with booking lessons
- Assist with daily instructor schedule adjustments to match changes throughout the day (e.g., guest no-shows, lack of work, switching clients, roll-over lessons, etc.)
- Finalize instructor payroll in flaik daily
- Assist with weekly and monthly payroll audits for the SnowSports School instructional staff
- Work with the managers and team to support sales initiatives for lessons, such as selling lessons at the SnowSports tent in the base area
- Partner with the Central Reservations and Ticket Office teams to answer SnowSports School questions
- Project based work as assigned, including but not limited to: checking lift access for lesson guests, coordinating special group programs, follow-up on overdue lesson payments, and tracking daily inventory numbers
- Other duties, as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Previous office or customer service experience required
- Above average computer proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel. Previous knowledge of the RTP POS and flaik software preferred but not required.
- Ability to learn new programs quickly
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task effectively with constant interruptions
- Exceptional attention to detail, ability to work independently in dispersed locations around the mountain, and ability to maintain focus and organization under stressful conditions
- Ability to interact and maintain positive relationships with guests, co-workers, management, and ski school instructors consistent with Steamboat Ski and Resort Company's Service Excellence standards
Education Requirements
- High school or equivalent; college education preferred
Physical Requirements
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
- Must be able to work indoors in a noisy office environment and outdoors in a winter environment.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English in a clear and professional manner.
- Must be able to sit and operate keyboard for long periods of time, as well as additional office machinery such as phones, copier, and printer.
- Intermediate ski or snowboard ability preferred, but not required.

- Indoor/Outdoor: While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to harsh and varying outside weather conditions.
- Hazardous Materials/Noise: The noise level in the workplace is usually moderate.

- Position requires working weekends, holidays, and required days as needed and scheduled.

The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of the Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation's hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include many region-specific benefits.
Steamboat Springs area base hourly pay range: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour
