1.1 School Nurse

Amergis Educational Staffing is partnered with a school in Hingham, MA who is currently seeking a School Based RN or LPN to work with students on a contractual basis.

Details of the Position Include:

Location: Weymouth, MA

Start Date: 07/20/2026 (also open to an nurse who plans to begin in the 26/27 school year, but that candidate would need to reserve multiple days over the summer for training and orientation.)

Duration: Full school year- June 2027

Schedule:

• ESY: Monday - Thursday: 8A - 4P

• 2026/27 SY: Monday-Friday 8A - 4P

Requirements: MA RN or LPN License and pediatric experience required

Description: Seeking a qualified Nurse to provide 1:1 support for a 3-year-old female student. Responsibilities include:

• Close monitoring throughout the school day

• G-tube care

• Oxygen administration as needed

• Oral suctioning

The district is looking for an Nurse who can start as soon as possible and complete training with the Director of Nursing and the family prior to the start of the school year.

The district is also open to considering a Nurse who plans to begin in the 2026-2027 school year. However, that candidate must be available to attend multiple training and orientation sessions over the summer in preparation for the role.

Pay: $45-55/ hour

( As an hourly employee, you are not paid during school holidays or vacation periods. You may also be required to take a 30-minute unpaid lunch break each day.)

The 1:1 School LPN/LVN is responsible for identifying and addressing health concerns in students within the school setting. This role includes promoting general wellness, providing health education, and supporting disease prevention efforts. The School LPN/LVN monitors the student's physical condition throughout the school day and refers to appropriate healthcare resources when necessary. All care is delivered in accordance with the School LPN/LVN scope of practice and in compliance with applicable state education codes.

Minimum Requirements:

• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice

• Current LPN/LVN license in the state which services are being provided

• One year of school nurse experience, preferred

• One-year pediatric experience, pre

• Current CPR if applicable

• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)

• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
