This role includes reviewing patient histories, educating patients about procedures, preparing and administering contrast media or medications (as authorized), and continuously monitoring patient condition throughout the exam. The technologist selects appropriate imaging parameters, ensures patient safety, and maintains equipment functionality through regular quality control and troubleshooting. Additionally, this position is accountable for accurately positioning patients, producing and evaluating diagnostic images, correcting any quality issues, and properly documenting and transmitting results. Minimum Qualifications Education: Graduate of Program in Discipline - required or validated by current licensure. Bachelor’s Degree Preferred License: (KY) State Radiation Operators License or Temporary (KY) State Radiation Operators license Certification: ARRT within 6 months of hire; BCLS within 90 days of hire Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
