Community Action, Inc. is seeking a full time Staff Accountant Payroll. ThePayroll Staff Accountant/ will process the bi-weekly payroll, ensuring accurate calculation of wages, overtime, taxes, and deductions, will review and calculate timesheets, track leave balances and address any timecard errors as needed.This Position will work within the general ledger maintaining accurate reconciliations and balances.HR Collaboration: Partner with HR on onboarding new hires, processing terminations, and managing benefits deductions.Finance & Compliance: Reconcile payroll with the Finance department and ensure compliance with both federal/state labor laws and grant funding restrictions. The position requires an Associate’s degree in Accounting/Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Must 2 to 3 years’ experience in accounting or bookkeeping. Must have 3 to 5 years’ experience in payroll processing. Must be computer literate and have Microsoft office experience particularly in Excel. Bilingual (English/Spanish) and experience in a social service environment is a plus. Must have the ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality within the position. Thepositionis 40 hours per week /52 weeks per year $28.74-$31.09per hour dependent upon education and experience. #J-18808-Ljbffr
