Scientist - Peptide Development

We are seeking a motivated and hands‑on Scientist to support peptide formulation, analytical testing, purification, and process development within a fast‑paced peptide manufacturing environment. This role will work closely with the R&D and production teams to assist in developing formulations, troubleshooting manufacturing challenges, supporting analytical workflows, and maintaining scientific documentation. This position is ideal for someone with strong laboratory fundamentals who enjoys problem‑solving, analytical chemistry, peptide science, and working in an agile startup environment where innovation and adaptability are highly valued. Responsibilities Assist with peptide formulation development and optimization Support lyophilization cycle execution and process troubleshooting Perform analytical testing including HPLC and related characterization methods Assist with peptide purification workflows including flash chromatography and preparative purification systems Support QC investigations, batch support, and stability studies Prepare buffers, excipients, and formulation materials Maintain accurate laboratory documentation and SOP compliance Support endotoxin, sterility, and related laboratory workflows Collaborate with production and quality teams on process improvements Organize and analyze experimental data using Excel and laboratory software Assist with raw material evaluation and formulation screening Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field 1–4 years of laboratory or industry experience preferred Experience with HPLC or analytical laboratory instrumentation Familiarity with peptide handling, formulation, purification, or biopharmaceutical workflows is a plus Experience working in GMP or regulated laboratory environments preferred Strong attention to detail and documentation skills Ability to adapt in a startup‑style environment with evolving priorities Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving mindset Nice to Have Exposure to lyophilization or peptide formulation Understanding of pH adjustment, solubility, or stability studies Experience with LC‑MS, endotoxin, or sterility workflows Familiarity with SOP writing and laboratory investigations Experience with peptide purification techniques including flash chromatography or preparative chromatography systems What We Offer Opportunity to work directly on cutting‑edge peptide development projects Fast‑paced and collaborative startup environment Hands‑on exposure to formulation, analytical development, purification, and manufacturing operations Career growth opportunities within a rapidly expanding biotech company Ability to contribute directly to process innovation and scientific development RTD Biosciences is a Disabled and Veteran Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
