Job Description An established, highly-rated Phoenix HVAC company (5.0 stars, 200+ reviews, strong repeat customer base) is under new ownership and looking for an experienced, licensed leader to run day-to-day operations as General Manager and Qualifying Party . About the Opportunity You’ll be the operational and technical backbone of the business — leading the field team, owning the customer experience, and holding the company’s CR‑39 license as Qualifying Party. What You’ll Do Serve as the company’s Qualifying Party on the Arizona ROC CR‑39 (Dual Air Conditioning & Refrigeration) license Lead and grow the field team — hiring, training, scheduling, and quality control Run daily operations: dispatch, job flow, and customer satisfaction (we run on Housecall Pro ) Stay hands‑on in the field as needed — diagnostics, install oversight, and complex service calls Manage vendor and supplier relationships (Trane and others) Partner with ownership on pricing, margins, growth, and marketing strategy Uphold the 5‑star service reputation that built this business What You Need Required: Ability to qualify as the Qualifying Party for an Arizona ROC CR‑39 license — meaning 4+ years of HVAC trade experience within the last 10 years and the ability to pass the ROC trade exam and the Statutes & Rules (business management) exam Arizona residency (required for a Qualifying Party) Strong hands‑on HVAC technical skills across residential and light commercial systems Proven leadership — you’ve run a crew, a service department, or a shop Clean driving record and the ability to pass a background check Strongly Preferred Already hold, or have previously held, an Arizona CR‑39 (or C‑39/R‑39) qualifying credential Experience with Housecall Pro or similar field‑service software Familiarity with the Phoenix metro and Northern Arizona service areas Track record of growing revenue or building a team Why this Position is Different Engaged partners, not absentee owners: You get real support on strategy, finance, and marketing — you focus on what you do best.
