Site Safety Manager - Data Center IES Commercial, Inc. – DBA IES Electrical, seeking full-time Site Safety Manager - Data Center in Richmond, Virginia. Job Summary Provides safety leadership and technical support to operations and project teams, reports out safety performance Advises Operations Team and Project Managers on Company, contractual, and regulatory safety requirements during work planning Reviews site safety plans, risk assessments, permits, and related documentation; escalates issues as needed to the Senior Safety Manager Conducts regular job-site audits and inspections to identify hazards and ensures safe work practices and jobsite conditions Leads new hire and site-specific safety orientations, toolbox talks, and weekly safety meetings Responds to reports of incidents and safety concerns; leads, conducts and supports investigations and communicates findings with Senior Leadership as needed Ensures compliance with Company, customer, site, OSHA, and applicable regulatory standards; verifies and maintains required documentation Develops safety competencies, identification of strengths and opportunities for improvement Coordinates, facilitates, and tracks required safety training and maintains necessary safety certifications Utilizes Company safety systems and software to manage incidents, inspections, corrective actions, and training Monitors subcontractor activities for compliance with Company, customer, jobsite, and general contractor safety requirements Travel may be required. Qualifications Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Construction Management, or related field preferred OSHA 30-hour, OSHA 510, and First Aid/CPR certifications; CHST credential desired 5-7 years recent experience in construction safety or a related role Prior experience as Electrician highly preferred Strong understanding of construction processes and safety regulations Proficient computer and communication (written, verbal) skills Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and field employees Maintaining driving qualifications as required per IES Fleet Safety Program Successfully pass pre-employment (post-offer) background check and MVR check.
