First American’s Agency Division is seeking an experienced real‑estate title underwriting attorney to provide underwriting support and guidance to personnel, agents, and customers on the issuance of title insurance commitments and policies. Responsibilities Provide underwriting support, counsel, and authorization related to title insurance commitments and policies. Utilize underwriting standards and guidelines within delegated authority limits to underwrite title insurance issuance. Advise company personnel on real‑estate settlement services performance. Issue underwriting standards and guidelines in accordance with established company processes. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Law degree and admission to practice in the state of employment. License to practice law in good standing. 5–7 years of title underwriting experience. Strong familiarity with real‑estate law and settlement processes. Knowledge of federal and state regulations related to title insurance and settlement services. Ability to collaborate, act decisively, and provide detail‑oriented solutions. Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills. Good organizational skills; capable of multi‑tasking, prioritizing, and following up timely. Strong negotiation and abstract‑thinking abilities. Pay Annual range: $97,700.00 – $130,300.00.
