Overview The Loan Services Specialist - Ancillary Products is responsible for all ancillary products added to a member's loan, including debt protection, warranty, GAP and other products offered by the credit union. The specialist serves as the subject matter expert and ensures all coverages are correctly in place, enforced, and supported for members. The role supports product sales, training, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive revenue and portfolio performance. Locations Northshore, 2077 Town Center Blvd, Knoxville, TN 37922, USA Responsibilities Ensure all purchased ancillary products are correctly processed to protect member loans. Ensure corrections are completed in a timely manner by loan officers, and policies are submitted to vendors in a timely manner. Receive and process member financial transactions including payoffs, loan payments, and payments for GAP and Extended Warranty, including claim processing. Review and verify the accuracy of all GAP and Extended Warranty contracts entered during the month. Review and process fees monthly and ensure accuracy in the GAP and Extended Warranty GLs. Collaborate with the Training Department to ensure all loan officers are up to date on specifications and portfolio requirements for ancillary products. Review and process incoming claims regarding Debt Protection. Serve as liaison between the member and vendor to ensure all claims/questions are processed correctly. Cross-train to assist with operations of the Loan Services team. Perform other job-related duties as assigned. Qualifications Experience Minimum 3 years working in a loan servicing or lending-related position. Required Education High School Diploma or GED or equivalent. Required Associate's Degree in a business-related field. Preferred Skills Work involves personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for first-level conflict resolution, relationship-building, and cooperation; requires diplomacy and tact in communication. Proficiency in Microsoft tools and the ability to adapt to and learn new technologies/systems/applications. Excellent organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail. Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with all levels of an organization. Strong time management skills.
