Associate Attorney | Medical Malpractice Defense Location: Tampa, FL, US Job Description Experience: Mid Level Salary: $130,000 - $175,000 per year Job Details We are seeking a Medical Malpractice Defense Attorney to join our Tampa office and handle healthcare liability matters from initial case evaluation through resolution. Responsibilities Manage medical malpractice defense cases involving healthcare providers, hospitals, facilities, and insurers Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, medical chronologies, and case evaluations Conduct depositions of parties, experts, medical providers, and key witnesses Analyze medical records and work closely with expert witnesses Prepare for hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trial Develop litigation strategy and communicate regularly with clients and carriers Handle court appearances and support all phases of case preparation Qualifications Juris Doctor from an accredited law school Active Florida Bar admission in good standing Prior medical malpractice defense, healthcare liability, insurance defense, or civil litigation experience Strong legal writing, research, and case management skills Experience handling discovery, depositions, motion practice, and client reporting Ability to analyze medical records and complex liability issues Trial preparation experience preferred but not required About Us We are a respected civil defense law firm with offices throughout Florida and the southeastern United States.
