Role is based in Jacksonville, Florida General Description The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) is part of the Medical Affairs Department at Ascentage Pharma and plays an important role in leveraging his or her scientific and clinical expertise to engage in facilitating research initiatives, educational programs, advisory boards, and other scientific activities to support Medical Affairs initiatives. The MSL will serve as a scientific expert to inquiries from healthcare professionals as well as internal stakeholders. Additionally, the MSL is responsible in establishing, cultivating, and maintaining relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOL) within a relevant therapeutic area. Essential Functions Provide in-depth competitive scientific analysis of key assets Attend and share insights from key medical/scientific congresses Provide relevant, medical and scientific information to meet the needs of the medical and scientific community Identify and foster key opportunities for scientific growth and medical evidence generation for support of approved and pipeline products Provide high quality presentations to various audiences, internally and externally, and engage in strategic discussions to advance understanding of relevant therapeutic areas Capture, share, and identify insights from various engagement activities Facilitate inquiries in investigator initiated-studies, grant requests, and submissions through internal processes Develop long-term relationships with Key opinion leaders and key decision makers as they relate to relevant therapeutic areas Must have excellent communication and writing skills. Must follow ethical codes in accordance with the company’s core values. Education Advanced scientific or clinical/medical degree required (MD, DO, PharmD, PhD)from an accredited university or college2+ years of related experience in Hematology/Oncology strongly preferred. Pharmaceutical Industry experience and clinical trial expertise is strongly preferred to the success of this role.
