Summary Gooding High School is seeking a passionate and dedicated Part‑Time Art Teacher to inspire creativity and artistic expression among our diverse student body. The ideal candidate will foster a positive learning environment, encouraging students to explore their artistic talents and develop their skills across various mediums. This role requires a commitment to cultivating a love for the arts while integrating relevant curriculum standards and promoting critical thinking. Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging art lesson plans that align with state and national standards. Teach a variety of artistic techniques and mediums, including drawing, painting, sculpture, and digital art. Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration. Assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance to help them improve their skills. Organize and oversee art exhibitions, contests, and other events to showcase student work and promote the arts within the school community. Collaborate with other teachers and staff to integrate art into interdisciplinary projects and initiatives. Maintain an organized and well‑equipped art studio, ensuring that all materials and supplies are available for student use. Stay current with art education trends, techniques, and technologies, incorporating them into the curriculum as appropriate. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and opportunities for involvement in the arts. Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices and contribute to the school community. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Art Education, Fine Arts, or a related field. Must have a valid teaching certification or license in Art Education for the state of Idaho. Strong knowledge of various art techniques, materials, and tools. Previous teaching experience at the high school level is preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues. Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. A portfolio showcasing personal artistic work and previous student projects is preferred. Passion for art education and a commitment to fostering a positive and creative learning environment. Must pass a background check through the State Department of Education. #J-18808-Ljbffr
