Redrock Dental is seeking a dedicated and patient-focused Dental Hygienist to join our friendly team in Carson City. Perform thorough dental prophylaxes, periodontal maintenance, scaling, and root planing.
Conduct initial oral health screenings and comprehensive patient assessments.
Accurately update and maintain patient oral health and medical histories.
Educate patients of all ages on best practices for oral hygiene techniques and preventive dental care.
Administer local anesthesia as needed.
Take and process diagnostic dental x-rays (including bitewing, periapical, and occlusal) and impressions.
Operate, maintain, and sterilize dental instruments and equipment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
Manage and monitor dental equipment and supply inventory.
Ensure precise and timely documentation of patient charts and records, adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
Provide patient counseling on dental care and treatment plans.
Valid Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license in the state of Nevada.
Demonstrated in-depth knowledge and strict adherence to health, safety, and infection control regulations within the dental profession, including HIPAA compliance.
Proficiency in preparing, utilizing, and maintaining a full range of dental instruments and equipment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to interact effectively with diverse patient populations and team members.
Strong commitment to patient care and a professional, empathetic demeanor.
Previous experience in a private dental practice setting.
Experience with digital imaging and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
Certification in CPR/BLS.
