The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in engineering and construction project environments, demonstrated expertise with Primavera P6 scheduling, and a strong understanding of project controls methodologies. This position requires regular interaction with client stakeholders and will involve time spent both at client offices and active project/construction sites. A willingness and ability to travel as required is essential.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and analyze integrated project schedules utilizing Primavera P6 to support engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and project execution activities.
  • Develop and implement project controls processes, procedures, and best practices related to scheduling, forecasting, progress measurement, reporting, and performance monitoring.
  • Coordinate and consolidate multiple sources of project data into a comprehensive project controls platform to support decision-making and project execution.
  • Establish and maintain baseline schedules, track schedule performance, identify variances, and provide recovery plans and mitigation strategies when required.
  • Participate in weekly and monthly project reviews with clients, contractors, project teams, and stakeholders to provide schedule analysis, forecasting, cost reporting, and project performance updates.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineering teams, and construction personnel to monitor project progress and ensure alignment with project objectives and milestones.
  • Prepare and deliver timely, accurate, and meaningful project status reports, dashboards, forecasts, and executive-level presentations.
  • Support earned value analysis, schedule risk assessments, change management activities, and project forecasting efforts.
  • Ensure schedules are regularly updated and communicated to project stakeholders, subcontractors, and management teams.
  • Review and evaluate contractor schedules, progress updates, and schedule impacts.
  • Develop and maintain project budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics to support successful project delivery.
  • Provide site support and conduct field verification as necessary to validate project progress and schedule accuracy.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the Project Controls function.

Minimum Qualifications

Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years of Project Controls, Project Scheduling, or Construction Controls experience.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting large-scale engineering, infrastructure, industrial, energy, petrochemical, or construction projects.
  • Strong understanding of engineering project phases, including planning, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and project closeout.
  • Experience working directly with clients, contractors, engineering teams, and field personnel.
  • Willingness to travel and work in both office and field/site environments as project needs dictate.

Technical Skills:

  • Knowledge of earned value management (EVM), forecasting, cost control, budgeting, and progress measurement methodologies.
  • Ability to develop, analyze, and maintain complex resource-loaded schedules.

Management:

  • No direct management experience required; however, proven ability to influence, collaborate, and coordinate across multidisciplinary project teams is preferred.

Other Skills:

  • Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
  • High level of professionalism, attention to detail, and commitment to project success.
  • Self-motivated team player with the ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
