Position Casual Sales Ambassador (4–19 hours per week) Overview Sales Ambassadors at Lush are experts in product and brand knowledge, providing exceptional customer consultations, product demonstrations, and cultivating strong team relationships. The role is about selling soap and making a positive impact on the world, one bar at a time. Responsibilities Sales and Customer Experience Utilize StoreForce dashboard results and seek feedback to exceed sales goals. Take ownership of your results and actively work to grow your contribution to the store’s overall sales. Consistently deliver a world‑class customer experience to every customer, listening attentively and asking open‑ended questions, and demonstrating the unique benefits and features of products. Educate customers on Lush values including Fighting Animal Testing, Freshest Cosmetics, Ethical Buying, 100% Vegetarian, Handmade, and Naked Packaging, and speak these values to the community through store activities. Continually expand product knowledge with ongoing learning, staying up‑to‑date on products, ingredients, and unique benefits to confidently recommend products for each customer's needs. Team Involvement Utilize Lush resources to develop effective sales techniques and product knowledge, supporting team growth and increasing sales. Encourage open communication and listen actively to team members’ perspectives related to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB). Promote teamwork, collaboration, and recognition of each employee’s contributions. Operational Excellence Be punctual, reliable, and present at work. Participate in teamwork, prioritize wellbeing, and stay updated on company news and updates. Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing store, enhancing the customer shopping experience and driving sales. Use Visual Merchandising guidelines to make real‑time adjustments to product displays based on sales. Practice company standards for opening and closing, product integrity, respectful workplace, and health and safety. Qualifications Required Excellent customer service skills. Flexibility to adapt to changing situations and priorities in a fast‑paced environment. Knowledge and passion for skincare, natural beauty, and ethical business. Flexible schedule to accommodate store needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. NOTE: Candidates under 18 who are selected will be employed on a contract basis through the Lush Youth Employment Program, in line with local employment and labour regulations. Preferred Experience with consultation‑based customer service models. Strong problem‑solving skills to address issues that arise in day‑to‑day operations. Experience working in a team environment. Experience working in skincare or cosmetics. Experience in cross‑cultural collaboration and DEIB or social justice training. Fluency in Spanish, French, or other languages.
