La Morocha is the Los Angeles debut from acclaimed Chef David Castro Hussong. Inspired by the spirit and flavors of Baja California, La Morocha combines elevated hospitality, thoughtful beverage programming, and a high-energy dining experience in the heart of the Arts District.

Position Overview

We’re looking for a passionate and talented individual to lead the front of house team in service and hospitality. The ideal candidate will possess a deep knowledge of wine, a genuine passion for sharing that knowledge with guests, and the ability to confidently guide service through thoughtful recommendations, pairings, and staff education. Experience in upscale casual dining is essential, along with a proven ability to lead by example, inspire a hospitality-driven culture, and deliver memorable dining experiences.

Hospitality & Guest Experience

• Build relationships with regular and VIP guests
• Create a culture of accountability, teamwork, and urgency.
• Ensure service standards are consistent, warm, and intentional

Leadership & Staff Development

Conduct regular wine training sessions for the front-of-house staff, enhancing their knowledge of the wine program and their ability to make recommendations

• Assist with scheduling while managing staffing needs
• Coach staff in real time to elevate guest experience

Wine

• Work in tandem with the Bar Manager monitoring inventory levels to maintain proper stock while minimizing overstock and shortages
• Maintain target pour costs and track KPIs
• Curate a dynamic wine list aligned with the restaurant’s cuisine that has a balanced selection across price points, varietals, and regions
• Manage wine storage conditions and cellar organization.
• Ensure the wine list remains current and accurate
