Receives general direction from the school administration. Education, Certification and Experience Two years of college (associate degree or a minimum of 60 earned credits); preference for bachelor’s degree Must have or obtain Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification and Life Space Crisis Intervention (LSCI) Knowledge, Abilities and Skills Ability to understand and communicate with both verbal and written skills Demonstrated ability to relate effectively to students, teachers, staff, central office personnel, and the community Demonstrated ability to work independently and complete tasks as assigned Demonstrated success in accomplishing tasks akin to the responsibilities listed below Responsibilities Earn and maintain Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification Participate in and successfully complete Life Space Crisis Intervention (LSCI) training Provide on‑site supervision, instructional support, and assistance for students assigned to the ISS/ISI Program Coordinate with classroom teachers to support class work and homework assignments for students Assist individual students in need of special attention in ISS/ISI and or within the classroom setting Provide assistance and supervision to individual classrooms as directed by the principal or principal’s designee Implement and monitor behavioral management program Maintain accurate data and records as they pertain to students placed in the ISS/ISI program Communicate regularly with school‑based administrators on the needs of students placed in the ISS/ISI program Assist individual students’ return to their regular instructional program Assist with data entry as needed when directed by school administration Become familiar with program, school organization policies and procedures Think, concentrate, and interact positively with others Come to work regularly and promptly Work under stress and meet all deadlines Physical and Psychological Conditions/ Demands Position requires significant periods of standing and walking in a typical school environment.
