What you’ll be responsible for each day:

The Feta Laborer I position is responsible for completing a variety of packaging and CIP duties to assist with the safe and efficient operation of the feta department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

In this position, you’ll play a key part in keeping production moving and quality standards high.

• Perform daily packaging duties, including vacuum packing as required.

• Monitor block forms and extensions to maintain coagulator system supply.

• Complete required paperwork and quality checks throughout the 12-hour shift.

• Wash tubs as required by policy.

• Support our daily production operations on the feta line where you'll handle materials, products, and equipment throughout the process.

• Perform Master Sanitation/CIP duties as required.

• Set up the packaging lines for the next day.

• Follow safety, quality, and food production guidelines, along with assisting with cleaning and sanitation to maintain a safe, organized workspace.

• Complete tasks safely while maintaining a safe working environment.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

• Understand and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices.

• Always adhere to our Safety Protocols, from stopping any observed unsafe acts and obey facility safety rules and procedures; correcting and/or reporting any observed safety hazards; supporting safety policies and programs.

The individual who will own this role:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

• No experience required; in-house training will be provided.

• Communicate well both verbally and in writing with managers and colleagues.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively at all levels in a collaborative team environment.

Skills Required

• Ability to read, understand, and adhere to documents and procedures (GLP, SOP, SDS, GMP, test procedures, and HACCP).

• Demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy in work.

• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division), along with basic computer operational skills; you'll also need the ability to input and retrieve computerized information.

• Ability to follow written, verbal and diagrammatic instructions; complete simple checklists and complete required documentation.

• Demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills.

• Decisions administered soundly and consistently with policies and in compliance with appropriate laws and regulations.

• Demonstrate functional and technical knowledge, ability to learn new skills quickly, and achieve a high level of accomplishment.

• Ability to solve problems by adapting knowledge and experience.

• Exhibit a professional manner in dealing with others and work to maintain constructive working relationships.
