Job description
Summary This assignment is a 1-year non‑reimbursable assignment. The only compensation for this assignment is the federal salary you are already receiving. Series Requested: 0132, 0343, 1801, 1805. Security Clearance: Top Secret. Virtual/Remote: No. Only current, full‑time federal employees are eligible. Resumes are reviewed every 30 days until selection/closing date. Duties This position is located in the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), Office of Intelligence (Intel) Joint Intelligence Operations Center (JIOC). The JIOC is a 24/7/365 operations center that synchronizes operations and intelligence capabilities to streamline situational awareness and facilitate rapid and responsible information sharing at all echelons across all domains. Conditions of Employment Must be a current permanent federal employee. Must have supervisory approval to apply to the Joint Duty Assignment (DHS 250‑2 Application Form). Must NOT have any pending/outstanding disciplinary actions. Must have achieved a minimum of “meet expectations/proficiency” on the latest performance appraisal/evaluation. Must be currently at the grade level of the detail (no temporary promotion opportunity). The program does not apply to members of the military service or contractors. Qualifications Working knowledge of OHS, Component, and authorized private partner databases. Strong oral and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in an inter‑agency environment; positive, collaborative attitude with ability to remain flexible while working in a potentially high‑stress environment. At least one‑year experience supporting law enforcement investigations and/or intelligence disciplines. Ability to work rotating shifts to support 24/7 scheduling requirements. Top Secret national security clearance, with SCI preferred. Educational Substitution There is no educational substitution for this position. Additional Information DHS does not offer any additional benefits beyond that which the federal employee is already receiving. If the position requires a security clearance, employees must have a SECRET or TOP SECRET clearance to placement and must maintain that level of clearance while performing in the position. Selected Applicants for Joint Duty Assignment Selected applicants for a JDA are requested to fulfill the items below during the JDA: Complete the DHS Joint Duty Assignment Progress Plan to include: Phase1: Establish assignment objectives within the first 30 days of the JDA. Phase2: Complete a self‑assessment of the duties performed at the mid‑point of the JDA. Phase3: Complete a final review within the last 30 days of the JDA. #J-18808-Ljbffr
