About the Role Monks is seeking a seasoned Strategy Director or Group Strategy Director to lead the strategic vision for one of the world’s most visible tech clients. We are looking for a strategist who speaks the language of UX . You understand that a website isn’t just a utility—it is a brand’s most powerful marketing engine. You know how to connect the dots between a big brand campaign and the navigational structure of a product page. You understand content strategy, site narratives, and user flows – and can author all of them. This isn’t a UX design role – no wireframing here. This is a UX strategy role where architecting the experience is partnered with a UX design lead. It is a role for a Savvy Storyteller who can command a room of client Marketing VPs and Product Leads with a simple, clear articulation of the user experience. You will define how the ecosystem tells the brand story, where the user goes next, and why it matters for the customer journey. Responsibilities Strategic Narrative & Pitching Sell the Vision: You are the lead author of the pitch deck for site strategy and digital experiences. You act as the bridge between the client’s Marketing goals and the digital reality. You frame structural changes (like a redesign or IA overhaul) as marketing opportunities that drive acquisition and brand love. Orchestrate the Journey: You move the conversation beyond “pages” to “journeys.” You define how a user flows from an ad, to a landing page, to a product deep-dive, ensuring the narrative holds together. Persuasive Leadership: You partner with Client Directors to pitch proactive ideas. You can stand in front of a CMO or VP of Marketing and explain why the current web experience is hurting their brand metrics—and more importantly, how we fix it. Web Ecosystem Strategy Marketing-Led UX: You define the Information Architecture (IA) and Content Strategy, but you do it with a marketer’s mindset. You prioritize content based on user intent, conversion goals, and brand messaging hierarchies. Tame the Fragmentation: The ecosystem is massive. You help the client consolidate disparate microsites and tools into a cohesive brand experience that feels unified, not chaotic. Connect the Dots: You ensure our web strategy aligns with the client’s broader marketing calendar, product launches, and brand campaigns. About You 10+ years of experience in Digital Strategy, UX Strategy, or Experience Strategy. Marketing DNA: You have worked at digital agencies where the website was treated as a primary marketing channel. You understand campaigns, content strategy, and brand positioning. Proven Pitch Experience: You have led or played a key role in winning pitches for large-scale digital projects. Core Skills: Expert proficiency in Keynote/Google Slides (your decks are persuasive narratives). Strong grasp of UX Fundamentals (IA, Wireframing concepts, User Research). Ability to connect UX improvements to Marketing KPIs (Engagement, Conversion, Sentiment). What We Offer Strategic leadership over a high‑profile digital ecosystem. A pivotal role in shaping how a global tech giant goes to market on the web. A collaborative, global team of Monks to help execute the vision you define.
