Charleston Supportive Services for Veterans Families - Summerville, SC 29485
Salary Range $57,000.00 - $59,000.00 Salary
Job Summary: Under the direct supervision of the SSVF Program Director, the Landlord Liaison is responsible for increasing access to both private and public rental markets for those moving from homelessness to permanent housing. The Landlord Liaison will build relationships with landlords and create incentives for Landlords to relax screening criteria for people experiencing homelessness who have barriers to accessing permanent housing. Incentives include a rapid response to concerns, tenant case-management, rental deposits and short-term rental assistance.
1. Bachelor's degree recommended but can be waived in lieu of experience at the discretion of Director of Veteran Services. 2. Three to five years' experience working with indigent and/or at-risk populations. 3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 4. Excellent computer skills including basic office programs and the ability to learn and utilize appropriate database programs. 6. Ability to work independently and as a part of a multi-disciplinary team. 7. Ability to relate effectively and without judgement to diverse individuals. 8. Experience working with landlords and placing homeless households with barriers into permanent housing. 9. Knowledge of housing resources in South Carolina. 10. Knowledge of Landlord/Tenant Laws and Fair Housing Regulations. 11. Must be able to travel independently between multiple work sites within a day.
Licenses, Training and Certification: Valid SC Driver's License Proof of Auto Liability Insurance if required Proof of education and credentials will be required for employment.
