Purpose The Casting Production Superintendent is accountable for delivering the safety, production, quality, and reliability performance of the casting department through disciplined daily execution.
This position is highly tactical, floor-focused role, with responsibility for driving the day-to-day actions required to control the casting business performance. Key business issues include managing process excursions, underperforming equipment, workforce issues, and resource utilization. The department Casting Manager defines the operational strategies, priorities, and directional improvements; this role is responsible for deploying, executing, and sustaining those strategies and systems effectively across the operations - business systems that stabilized and continually improve the Casting Operations.
Bachelor of Science Degree, preferably in the Engineering Field 7-10 years related experience in Casting of Aluminum products. 5-10 years' experience as a production supervisor or manager in a manufacturing environment Strong background working in a TS16949 certified facility. Intermediate knowledge of MS Office, including Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint In-depth knowledge of the casting process, the operation of equipment, aluminum alloys and standards, use of precision instruments and customer orders and specifications. Be a contributing member of the management team. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work as a team. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Perform additional duties as required to support business success.
