Marlow East, a modern American restaurant on the Upper East Side, is seeking a polished, hospitality-driven Host to join our front-of-house team.
Our concept focuses on seasonal, ingredient-driven modern American cuisine, delivered with warmth and intention. As a Host, you will be one of the first points of contact for our guests and will help set the tone for an elevated yet approachable dining experience.
You will welcome guests, manage reservations and seating, communicate wait times, and work closely with the management team to maintain a smooth and organized flow of service.
We’re looking for someone professional, composed under pressure, detail-oriented, and genuinely passionate about hospitality. Previous experience in an upscale, fine-dining, or high-volume restaurant is strongly preferred. Experience with OpenTable is required.
Key Responsibilities:
• Greet and engage guests with professionalism and warmth
• Manage reservations, seating, and guest information accurately
• Communicate wait times and table availability clearly
• Answer phones and assist with reservation inquiries
• Coordinate closely with the Maître D’, management, and service team
• Handle guest requests with care, discretion, and professionalism
• Maintain an organized, polished, and welcoming host stand
