The Distribution Representative III is responsible for carrying out the scheduling of natural gas and/or natural gas liquids on interstate pipelines, intrastate pipelines and Williams owned gathering systems. This role will timely enter purchase and sale transactions into our management system to ensure accurate accounting results. Having a keen understanding of natural gas fundamentals and transportation logistics in addition to the ability to communicate information to our business partners are keys for success!
Responsibilities/Expectations:
- Coordinates movements of natural gas and/or natural gas liquids with various customers/suppliers and pipelines
- Nominates, allocates, confirms and balances volumes with suppliers, purchasers, and pipelines
- Prepares monthly allocation statements, schedules and monitors volumes daily
- Evaluates and reduces pipeline imbalances and serves as primary liaison in pipeline imbalance resolution
- Tracks and evaluates pipeline maintenance schedules for impact on natural gas or natural gas liquid flow
- Prepares monthly invoices for sales, processing and transportation agreements
- Evaluates contract compliance and accuracy through review of invoices and reconciles and resolves payment and invoice discrepancies
- Resolves standard problems and answers routine questions
- Assists in analyzing profitable transportation paths, spreads and marketing opportunities in the day-ahead and forward markets
- Other duties as assigned
Education/Years of Experience:
- Required: Bachelor's degree and a minimum of four (4) years of distribution, scheduling, or accounting experience
Other Requirements:
- Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety is the utmost priority
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications with emphasis in Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- Understanding of natural gas and/or natural gas liquids fundamentals and transportation logistics
