Location: Pittsfield, MA
Agency: United Health Care Staffing, Inc.
Pay: $2,000 to $2,200 per week
Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks

Job Details

  • Position: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Home Health
  • Location: Pittsfield
  • Contract Length: 13 Weeks
  • Shift: Day Shift
  • Schedule: 5x8
  • Experience Required: 2 Years
  • Weekly Pay: $2000 to $2200

Responsibilities

  • Provide skilled nursing care to patients in their homes under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or physician
  • Assess patients' physical condition and monitor progress toward established care goals
  • Administer medications, injections, wound care, IV therapies (within scope of practice), and other prescribed treatments
  • Educate patients and family members on disease management, medications, treatment plans, and home safety
  • Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the supervising RN or physician
  • Assist with chronic disease management, post-surgical recovery, rehabilitation, and preventive care
  • Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) and complete required visit notes promptly
  • Collaborate with physicians, Registered Nurses, therapists, social workers, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
  • Promote patient independence while ensuring comfort, dignity, and quality of life
  • Follow infection prevention guidelines, home health regulations, and patient safety standards
  • Manage daily travel between patient homes while maintaining an efficient visit schedule

Requirements

  • Active Massachusetts Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) License
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Home Health or related clinical nursing experience
  • Current BLS Certification required
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance required
  • Experience with wound care, medication administration, chronic disease management, and patient education
  • Strong assessment, communication, and organizational skills
  • Experience using electronic medical record (EMR) systems preferred
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining excellent clinical judgment
  • Compassionate, dependable, and patient-focused approach to care
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional home healthcare services
