Chef de Cuisine / Executive Chef
Modern New-American Cuisine
Brooklyn, NY
$125,000–$140,000 + Comprehensive Benefits + Long-Term Equity Opportunity
Help redefine the future of luxury kosher dining.
Some restaurants are built to serve great food.
We're representing one of New York City's most exciting culinary opportunities—a Michelin-recognized restaurant in Brooklyn entering an ambitious new chapter. Already celebrated for its commitment to exceptional hospitality and refined cuisine, ownership is now looking for the right culinary leader to help elevate the restaurant to an entirely new level.
This is far more than an Executive Chef position.
It's an opportunity to become a true partner.
The owners are searching for someone who wants to build something meaningful and lasting—someone who sees the kitchen not simply as an operation to manage, but as a place to create culture, mentor talented cooks, inspire guests, and help shape the future of luxury kosher dining.
They're looking for a chef with exceptional technical ability, refined taste, and genuine humility. Someone who understands what it takes to operate at the highest culinary level while also building a healthy, collaborative kitchen culture that people genuinely want to be part of.
Most importantly, they're looking for a partner whose voice, creativity, and leadership will become part of the restaurant's identity for years to come.
The Opportunity
Working directly alongside ownership, you'll lead every aspect of the culinary program. You'll oversee menu development, recipe creation, sourcing, food quality, kitchen operations, financial performance, staffing, training, and daily execution while continuously raising the standards of the restaurant.
Ownership is not looking for someone to simply maintain what's already been built.
They're looking for someone excited to challenge conventions, introduce fresh ideas, refine every detail of the guest experience, and help position the restaurant among the country's leading luxury kosher destinations.
You'll have the opportunity to collaborate on seasonal tasting menus, à la carte offerings, private dining experiences, special events, and future concepts as the business continues to evolve. Your creativity won't be confined to a menu meeting—it will influence the direction of the entire restaurant.
Just as important as culinary excellence is leadership. You'll recruit, mentor, and develop an ambitious kitchen team while fostering an environment built on respect, accountability, professionalism, and continuous learning. Ownership believes that great restaurants are built by great people, and they're committed to investing in both.
Who We're Looking For
The ideal candidate comes from a fine dining background, ideally having worked in Michelin-starred or Michelin-recognized kitchens where precision, consistency, discipline, and hospitality are second nature.
You're someone who leads by example. Calm under pressure. Highly organized. Curious. Collaborative. Passionate about mentoring young cooks while never stopping your own pursuit of excellence.
You're equally comfortable discussing food costs and labor strategy as you are refining a sauce or developing a new tasting menu.
Most importantly, you're excited by the idea of building something rather than simply inheriting it.
No Kosher Experience? That's Perfectly Fine.
While this is a kosher restaurant, previous kosher experience is not required.
Ownership firmly believes that exceptional leadership, technical ability, creativity, and a hospitality-first mindset matter far more than previous experience cooking kosher cuisine.
For the right chef, they're fully committed to providing the guidance, education, and support needed to master kosher techniques and operations. If you have the talent, curiosity, and desire to learn, they'll help you become an expert.
Why This Opportunity Is Different
Executive Chef positions come along every day.
True partnerships rarely do.
Here, you'll have direct access to ownership, meaningful influence over the restaurant's long-term direction, and the freedom to contribute your own culinary voice rather than simply executing someone else's vision.
For the right leader, this role also presents a genuine long-term equity opportunity, offering the chance to become invested not only emotionally and creatively—but financially—in the future success of the business.
Compensation & Benefits
The position offers a competitive base salary of $125,000–$140,000, depending on experience, together with comprehensive health benefits, paid time off, and a long-term equity opportunity for the right culinary leader.
If you're searching for more than your next Executive Chef role—if you're looking to leave your mark, build something exceptional, and help define the next generation of luxury kosher dining—we'd love to begin a confidential conversation.
