Job Address: 100 Heartland Dr, Beckley, WV 25801 Job Responsibilities Meet with Operations Supervisors daily to assess and review day‑to‑day operations. Review and approve staffing, scheduling, and related issues. Counsel and assist employees; review, assess, and assist with all work performed throughout the day, regardless of shift. Act as liaison between Operations Supervisors, hospitals, nursing facilities, and the Regional Manager of Operations. Provide briefings and updates to the Regional Manager of Operations weekly and in real time when necessary. Identify and work to improve administrative and operational functions for Lynx EMS, LLC. Review emergency medical staff activities and provide leadership and guidance on various issues; document guidance in written form when required. Review and recommend changes to existing policies and procedures; assist in creating new policies. Review requests for additional staffing and equipment; recommend staffing and equipment needs for budget purposes to the Regional Manager of Operations. Maintain a full‑time regular work schedule and verify staffing for all shifts is met. Participate in the full range of human resources responsibilities. Write, receive, review, and approve staff reports, records, and related paperwork. Investigate incidents involving assigned units and communicate status to Operations Supervisors and the Regional Manager of Operations. Submit reports on all incidents, accidents, and work‑related injuries and exposures. Participate in interviewing and selection processes as needed. Ensure all necessary payroll reports are completed and submitted in a timely manner. Inspect all assigned stations, vehicles, and equipment for cleanliness and general maintenance. Attend external and internal meetings as required. Remain accessible by phone while off duty. Perform other tasks assigned or required to ensure operational integrity. Additional Duties Ensure the operation site is compliant with all policies, procedures, and standards outlined by city, state, federal, and Lynx EMS regulations. Ensure the operation responds to calls and sites as outlined within dispatch protocol. Determine compliance with established policies and procedures. Identify and correct deficiencies in staffing and dispatch via reporting and audit metrics. Oversee and/or participate in the full range of human resources responsibilities. Verify all EPCR reports have been submitted and signed off for billing. Verify any trailing documentation has been uploaded and attached to the appropriate trip. Submit daily or weekly reports to the Regional Manager of Operations as required. Submit daily attendance and run volume reports and any other additional requirements set forth by the Regional Manager of Operations. Qualifications & Experience Current state EMT licensing and certification. Knowledge of EMS policies and procedures. Knowledge of techniques, requirements, and activities associated with emergency medical response and protocols. Knowledge of inventory maintenance and control. Knowledge of basic principles of management and supervision. Knowledge of basic record keeping and case management. Skill in working under stressful situations, assessing information, and making educated decisions for appropriate response. Skill in establishing and maintaining good working relations with staff, hospital staff, facility staff, and the general public. Skill in effectively managing staff, supervisors, equipment, facilities, and operations across multiple sites. Skill in operating a personal computer with a variety of software applications. Skill in effective oral and written communication. Physical fitness required to function effectively in various environments. Ability to lift and carry up to 250 lbs in unpredictable weather conditions across various environments.
