Job description

Senior Grant Compliance Manager

YWCA Seattle | King | Snohomish is seeking a strategic and experienced Senior Grant Compliance Manager to lead and elevate our grant compliance function.

This is more than a compliance role. It is an opportunity to build, modernize, and strengthen a critical organizational function that supports millions of dollars in public and private grant funding each year.

We are looking for someone who enjoys creating structure where opportunities exist, designing efficient processes, improving internal controls, and partnering across departments to build sustainable systems. The ideal candidate is energized by taking an already strong foundation and helping transform it into a best-in-class grant compliance program.

Working closely with Finance, Program Leadership, Executive Leadership, and external funding partners, this position will lead grant compliance efforts across the organization while serving as a trusted advisor on regulatory requirements, financial stewardship, and organizational risk. Success in this role requires both technical expertise and the ability to influence, collaborate, and drive continuous improvement across a complex nonprofit organization.

If you are someone who sees opportunities instead of obstacles, enjoys building scalable systems, and wants your work to have a lasting organizational impact while supporting a mission that changes lives every day, we'd love to hear from you.

Work Type: Hybrid. This position is based in the Seattle metropolitan area. Candidates must reside within commuting distance of our King or Snohomish County worksites. Regular travel throughout King and Snohomish counties is required for meetings, collaboration, training, and other business needs. Relocation assistance is not available.

Location Requirement: Must currently reside within commuting distance of Seattle, WA and be able to work onsite as scheduled. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Lead and continuously improve YWCA's organization-wide grant compliance program.
  • Develop long-term strategies that strengthen compliance infrastructure while supporting organizational growth.

  • Partner with Finance and Program Leadership to streamline grant management processes from award through closeout.
  • Champion continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to leverage technology, automation, and reporting tools.
  • Monitor changes in grant regulations and funding requirements.
  • Assess organizational compliance risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Investigate compliance concerns and coordinate corrective action plans as necessary.
