Job description

Senior Analyst, Auto Product Design

We are seeking a Senior Analyst, Auto Product Design focused on optimizing the end-to-end auto product experience, with a strong emphasis on NB growth and retention. This analyst will support the Auto Product Experience Optimization portfolio by optimizing the customer quote experience across new business and key in-force lifecycle events. Leveraging analytics, they will develop a deep understanding of our rating program, customer behavior, market dynamics, and business performance to deliver actionable recommendations that strengthen customer engagement, improve policy persistency, and increase customer lifetime value.

The role partners closely with Distribution, Data Science, Risk Analytics, Underwriting, Technology and Service teams to design and implement capabilities that deliver a more seamless, personalized, and effective customer experience across the policy lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners across USRM to evaluate, test and implement quote flow enhancements that move us toward achieving each channel strategy
  • Analyze and recommend improved consumption of prefill data to ensure optimal experience in our quote flow to increase throughput and reduce expenses
  • Support the operationalization of risk classification into the quoting experience by researching and recommending interview question wording and flow tailored to each channel to minimize friction and risk misclassification
  • Analyze logic governing how midterm or renewal transactions are executed to reduce premium leakage and improve retention (e.g., rewrites, rescores, sensitive life events such as Bereavement endorsement)
  • Conduct competitive intelligence research and deliver product insights that inform experience design decisions

We are looking for a candidate who is:

  • Intellectually curious - excited to solve complex problems and identify new opportunities
  • Analytical and technical - able to gather, interpret, and evaluate data across multiple sources; proficient in Excel, SAS/Snowflake, PowerPoint. Conducts moderate to high complexity analysis under general direction.
  • Self-driven with strong organizational skills and proactive follow through
  • Collaborative in partnerships with stakeholders across multiple teams and engaged in contributing to a dynamic and inclusive team culture
  • Able to communicate problems and findings clearly
  • Serves as ad hoc resource for less experienced analysts. Occasionally mentors others as requested

Must have Auto-Product experience

  • Bachelor's degree in mathematics, economics, statistics, or other quantitative field.
  • Minimum 3 years relevant work experience, typically 4 years.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and statistical software packages (e.g., SAS, Emblem).
  • Must have strong planning, organizational, analytical, decision making and communication skills.
