Thanks to a fertile and favorable pedoclimatic context for potato cultivation, Seine-Maritime is the leading department in potato production in Normandy, with a surface area of 13,000 Ha (potatoes for the fresh market, conservation, primeur, and processing).
Most Seine-Maritime potato producers are producers-traders on the fresh market, exporting. In this market, quality requirements are very high. In this context, the potato advisor is at the heart of the sector as the primary contact for potato stakeholders.
