CFT Staff Accountant

The CFT Staff Accountant is responsible for assisting with the monthly close, including preparation of lead schedules, preparing and posting of journal entries, and maintenance of the general ledger. This position is also responsible for monthly bank reconciliations, A/R, A/P, CAM reconciliations and various ad hoc projects.

You'll get a chance to:

• Prepare monthly bank reconciliation for all entities and review outstanding checks.
• Post daily investment related distribution receipts and capital calls received from partners in Yardi.
• Process and verify accuracy of tenant and non-tenant payment and codes and enter the data into the accounting system. Notify the property management team of any receivable discrepancies.
• Be responsible for accounts payable for all operations, investment, and G&A entities.
• Review invoices, bills, vouchers, or other documents and enter them into the applicable accounting software for routine and urgent check request. Oversee and record daily on-line accounts payable activities.
• Calculate and allocate appropriate CAM expenses to tenants as defined by lease terms and perform annual reconciliation, coordinating with property management and leasing departments.
• Assist with the monthly close, including preparation of lead schedules, preparing, and posting of journal entries, and maintenance of the general ledger.
• Assist in implementing and maintaining accounting policies and procedures.
• Collaborate and coordinate across various departments to obtain necessary documentation.
• Perform research on various accounting issues and prepare proposed AJE (Adjustment to Journal Entry).

Your background & experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
• Minimum three years of relevant experience
• Successful completion of initial and periodically required training
• Obtaining a valid Food Handler's Card within 30 days of employment is a requirement of this position.

Pay Range: P2: $72,500 - $101,500 / Annual

*Within the range, individual pay is determined using various factors, including work location and experience.
