Coordinator - Strategic Performance and Compliance

Beaumont Independent School District Position Description

Position Overview

The Coordinator of Strategic Performance and Compliance serves as the district leader responsible for implementing, managing, monitoring, and continuously improving systems that support performance management, accountability monitoring, strategic initiatives, educator effectiveness programs, and organizational improvement efforts.

This position exists to ensure district leaders, campuses, and departments have clear visibility into performance, implementation, and outcomes through reliable data systems, monitoring structures, and continuous improvement processes. The Coordinator implements, manages, monitors, and continuously improves district systems that support organizational performance reviews, educator effectiveness initiatives, accountability monitoring, and strategic execution.

The Coordinator owns districtwide systems related to performance management, instructional performance monitoring, educator effectiveness programs, strategic initiative monitoring, accountability reporting, and organizational improvement. The Coordinator ensures these systems remain aligned to district priorities, accountability expectations, and the BISD Academic Operating System.

The Coordinator advances district goals by making performance visible, strengthening implementation accountability, improving organizational effectiveness, and supporting continuous improvement across campuses and departments. Qualifications

  • Valid Texas teaching certificate required
  • Master's degree preferred
  • Campus or district leadership experience
  • Experience with accountability systems
  • Experience with data analysis and performance monitoring
  • Experience managing strategic initiatives
  • Knowledge of TEA accountability, improvement planning, TIA, and continuous improvement processes

System Ownership

Leadership Responsibilities

The Coordinator is accountable for ensuring district systems operate effectively and produce intended outcomes.

The Coordinator is expected to:

  • Analyze data and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts.
  • Support coordinators, program managers, and campus leaders.
  • Ensure alignment to district priorities and expectations.
  • Coordinate resources, tools, and supports that strengthen implementation.
  • Anticipate challenges and proactively address barriers.

Authority and Decision Rights

The Coordinator is accountable for ensuring district systems move beyond planning and result in measurable implementation and impact. The Coordinator may:

  • Establish procedures within assigned systems.
  • Set implementation expectations and timelines.
  • Implement and maintain monitoring and reporting structures.
  • Recommend staffing, resource, and program adjustments.
  • Approve routine operational decisions within assigned responsibilities.
  • Coordinate improvement actions necessary to strengthen implementation.

Significant organizational, staffing, budgetary, or strategic changes require approval from the appropriate Senior Director and/or Deputy Chief of Academics.
