Location: On-site Burlington, NJ Compensation: $80k –$100k base salary (depending on experience) + benefits We are seeking a Cost Accountant to join a growing manufacturing organization. This role partners closely with operations, plant leadership, supply chain, and finance to drive accurate cost reporting, improve profitability, and support strategic business decisions. Key Responsibilities Maintain and update standard costs for raw materials, labor, and overhead within the ERP system Analyze material, labor, overhead, purchase price, and production variances, providing actionable insights Support month‑end and year‑end close activities related to inventory, cost of goods sold, and manufacturing accounts Monitor work‑in‑process (WIP), raw materials, finished goods valuation, and inventory reserves Participate in physical inventories and cycle counts, including reconciliations and reporting Prepare cost, margin, productivity, and operational performance reports Partner with operations, engineering, procurement, and supply chain to improve costing accuracy and identify cost‑saving opportunities Assist with annual budgeting and forecasting for manufacturing costs, inventory, labor, and overhead Support ERP manufacturing process flows and collaborate with IT to improve production costing accuracy Develop new product costing, including bills of materials (BOMs) and manufacturing cost analysis Provide financial support for freight, warehousing, tariffs, and other operational cost areas Recommend process improvements to strengthen internal controls and reporting efficiency Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting 2–5+ years of cost accounting experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment Strong understanding of: Standard costing Manufacturing cost accounting Work‑in‑process (WIP) Inventory accounting Overhead allocation Bills of Materials (BOMs) Routings Production reporting Advanced Excel skills Experience with ERP systems; Acumatica and/or Netstock experience is a plus Knowledge of GAAP and internal controls Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills CMA or CPA designation is a plus Preferred Keywords Cost Accounting Manufacturing Accounting Standard Costing Inventory Accounting ERP Systems Excel Variance Analysis WIP BOM Month‑End Close Budgeting Forecasting GAAP Manufacturing Finance Work Environment On‑site role within a manufacturing facility Close collaboration with plant leadership, operations, supply chain, engineering, and finance teams Periodic travel between manufacturing locations for physical inventory support and collaboration with corporate finance teams #J-18808-Ljbffr
