Estate Analyst

GSTC leverages the global resources of Goldman Sachs to deliver integrated fiduciary management and administration, as well as comprehensive best-in-class investment management. Our Estate Settlement Services team is dedicated to administering estates efficiently, thoughtfully, and in coordination with fiduciary professionals, PWAs, outside counsel, tax advisors, beneficiaries, and other stakeholders while observing our responsibilities as an independent, professional fiduciary.
Based in our New York City office, a GSTC Estate Analyst (EA) provides direct support for estate settlement administration, including account administration, coordination of estate-related activity, and management of the operational experience for estates and related stakeholders.
Support the Estate Settlement Services team with the administration, operation, maintenance, and monitoring of estate accounts
Administer estate cash management functions, including receipts, disbursements, journals, checks, and wires
Coordinate preparation of estate tax payments, fiduciary income tax payments, and related tax filings
Support estate account oversight activities to comply with fiduciary, operational, and regulatory requirements
Reconcile and verify estate account activity, asset values, distributions, and historical data as needed
Coordinate estate-related account implementation, asset transfers, and funding activity
Support projects related to estate settlement workflows, process improvements, and team strategic planning
Serve as a key liaison to PWAs, fiduciary professionals, outside counsel, tax advisors, and other areas supporting the estate settlement process
Assist with estate onboarding, including documentation, account opening, asset inventory, and funding activity
Participate in efforts to improve efficiencies within the Estate Settlement Services business
GSTC has a national practice, working with PWAs based in the following locations in the United States: Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, New York, Miami (Florida and Latin America coverage), Philadelphia, San Francisco, Seattle, Washington, D.C. and West Palm Beach
Bachelor's Degree Required
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and think clearly under pressure
Strong interest in client service
Self-motivated and able to work in an autonomous, yet collaborative environment
Strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong organizational and interpersonal skills
Commitment to excellence and a high level of integrity
Strong knowledge of estates practice area, including probate and tax matters
Paralegal experience in estate administration and/or experience on an estate administration team at a wealth management firm is a plus
