Korzen Health seeks a full-time Wound Care Nurse Practitioner (NP) in our independent wound care center in the Newport News VA area.
For over 25 years We has been treating patients with chronic wounds from over 600 hospital-based wound care centers across the country. Currently We treats over 300000 wound care patients annually and has healed nearly 4 million wounds.
This position is based in our outpatient wound care clinic and is exclusively dedicated to procedural wound care. Our standard work hours are daytime hours averaging around 40 hours per week. There are no night shifts on-call responsibilities holiday hours or weekend hours. All patients are seen by appointment only; walk-ins are not accepted.
This is a procedure-oriented environment primarily serving geriatric patients. The successful candidate must possess at least 1 year of procedural background. Experience with minor procedures such as suturing debridement and/or incision and drainage (I&D) is required and procedural case logs will be requested as part of the credentialing process. Other types of non-dermatological procedural experience may also be acceptable on a case-by-case basis.
Wound Care and Hyperbaric Oxygen (HBO) Therapy training are available. A full clinical team will be in place from the start date.
