Mentorship The selected assistant professional will report to Head Golf Professional Tim King. Tim has been a PGA Professional for more than 16 years and is in his fifth year as Head Golf Professional at Brook Hollow. His management style invests in each employee, meeting them where they are in their career aspirations while strengthening golf services and membership experience. He has helped previous assistants earn promotions to Head Professional, Lead Assistant, and Tournament Director positions at several clubs and courses. Golf Instruction Brook Hollow offers an exceptional opportunity for an assistant professional to develop as both a golf instructor and club fitter. The selected candidate will teach alongside two of the most respected instructors in Texas, building their own lesson book and instructional philosophy. The instruction program is led by Director of Instruction Steve Buzza, a Golf Digest “Best in State” instructor, and Brad Elder, former PGA Tour player and University of Texas Hall of Fame inductee. Together with five additional PGA Professionals, Brook Hollow provides one of the most comprehensive instructional programs in the state. Position Overview The Assistant Golf Professional at Brook Hollow Golf Club will play an integral role in daily golf operations, ensuring an elevated level of service and organization across all aspects of the club’s golf program. Responsibilities Take initiative in all matters of improving members’ experiences daily to meet members’ and guests’ expectations. Be actively present, greeting, and addressing members’ needs at all service points, including bag drop, golf shop, practice facilities, first tee, and golf course. Manage a daily play experience for golfers with no tee times, overseeing a first‑come, first‑served queue procedure for all groups. Manage, train, and supervise a Member Service team of 16 employees to maintain a high standard of excellence in outside services. Assist with a full member tournament and event schedule for an active membership. Assist with a junior development program coaching children from ages 4 – 18. Assist in teaching adult player development program and workshops under the leadership of the Director of Instruction. Teach members of all ages and abilities in both individual and group settings. Assist in receiving retail products, merchandising inventory management, and sales techniques for a golf shop that annually brings in $1.7 million in revenue. Provide an elevated club fitting experience with expertise in product knowledge and component fittings for industry‑leading equipment. Provide well‑written digital correspondence and marketing initiatives to support golf programs and services to attract greater membership participation. Act as Rules Official on behalf of the USGA Rules of Golf during regular play and scheduled tournaments. Actively play golf with members while maintaining proficiency in competitive golf. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional golf operation space. Uphold and oversee adherence to club policies, traditions, rules of golf, and the high service standards of a premier private club in the Southwest.
