Assistant Director - OSHA, Safety, & Fire
Assistant Director will apply subject matter expertise in Safety education and program development to manage the OSHA Training Institute Education Center (OTIEC) established in 1990 under the Department of Labor/OSHA as well as other safety and fire leadership programs.
Under the general supervision of the Chief Academic Officer, Assistant Dean of Academic Affairs the Assistant Director will manage a broad range of educational products and the instructors and staff who deliver those products to sustain academic quality. Uses advanced technical expertise, accredited and/or certification public education program concepts, and organizational objectives to resolve complex public education program issues and needs assessment initiatives. Works on most complex public education program issues, where analysis of situations requires an in-depth evaluation and understanding of organizational strategies and business objectives. Exercises judgment in selecting methods and techniques for delivering courses, presentations, and development of programs. Exercises judgment in selecting methods and techniques for course and instructional improvement. Engages campus, industry, academic advisors, and authorities in the safety educational offerings. Provides expertise and insight in evaluating the performance of existing portfolios of programs and recommends timely adjustments to ensure optimal performance. Serves as expert resource to other educational program personnel. Performs the full array of supervisory duties including hiring, training, work direction, and performance management and serves as "lead" accredited and/or certification safety programs specialist and subject matter expert to develop public educational program personnel.
Pay Transparency Act
Annual Full Pay Range: $79,200 - $143,400 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent: $37.93 - $68.68
